Throughout his illustrious career, he won over 70 grand prix victories, including multiple championships at prestigious events like the Washington International Horse Show and the National Horse Show. Jenkins achieved significant international recognition, winning silver medals at the 1987 Pan American Games and riding on 10 winning U.S. equestrian teams in international competitions. After retiring from show jumping in 1989, he transitioned to thoroughbred steeplechase horse training, where his horses won 941 races and earned over $24 million in purse earnings.
