This bill transfers the authority to establish and administer the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) from the Aging and Disability Services Division to the Department of Health and Human Services. The Department can implement the program directly, in cooperation with other agencies, or by contracting with public or private organizations like federally-qualified health centers. The Community Advocate will continue to assist in coordinating resources for aging persons, now specifically related to the Department's PACE program. The bill also makes conforming changes to various state laws to reflect this transfer of responsibility and includes an appropriation of $293,055 for fiscal year 2025-2026 and $184,057 for fiscal year 2026-2027 to support the program's establishment and administration.
