A resident of the Old Fourth Ward neighborhoods, he was deeply connected to his community and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church. Despite experiencing homelessness, Taylor was remembered as a pillar of strength, a friend, and an inspirational figure known for his integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness. The resolution, passed by the House of Representatives, formally acknowledges his life's impact and expresses condolences for his passing.
