This resolution recognizes and celebrates The Woodbine Opry, a long-running free live music venue in Georgia, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. Located in the renovated "Old School" in Woodbine, the venue will commemorate its milestone with a week-long celebration from February 10-15, 2025, featuring various musical performances including a tribute to its founders, a performance by Satilla Blue, a bluegrass and Gospel jam session, and a country music dance night. Despite its small auditorium that seats fewer than 200 people, The Woodbine Opry has a significant online presence, reaching 15,000 to 20,000 views monthly through livestreams and social media platforms. The resolution formally congratulates the Opry on its 25 years of providing weekly performances of bluegrass, Gospel, and classic country music, and directs the House of Representatives' Clerk to make an official copy of the resolution available for distribution to the venue.
