Once the Department of Justice makes an official determination of an officer's line of duty death under the Hometown Heroes Survivors Benefits Act, the officer's name will be added to the memorial during the next scheduled wall update. This legislation ensures that law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice are properly honored and remembered on the state's memorial.
