This bill transfers the appointment authority for the Director of the Arkansas Waterways Commission from the commission itself to the Governor. Specifically, the bill modifies existing law to state that the Director will now be appointed by the Governor and will serve at the Governor's pleasure, subject to confirmation by the Senate.
