This concurrent resolution establishes the adjournment and reconvening schedule for the Kansas legislature during the 2025 regular session. Specifically, the legislature will adjourn at the close of business on February 20, 2025, and will reconvene on February 25, 2025. During this period of adjournment, the chief clerk of the house, the secretary of the senate, and specified employees will continue to work to receive messages from the governor and handle necessary business, with the exception of Sundays. The resolution also clarifies that legislators will not receive subsistence allowances (daily expense payments) during adjournment periods longer than two days, with an exception for members attending authorized legislative meetings or conference committee meetings, who will still be eligible for travel expenses and subsistence allowances as prescribed by law.
