This bill creates the Legislative Education Evaluation Commission (LEEC), a new legislative body designed to study, discuss, and provide recommendations on education-related issues in Utah. Legislators on the commission will receive compensation according to existing rules, while state employees cannot receive extra compensation for their service. The bill also establishes that the Legislative Education Evaluation Commission will be automatically repealed on December 1, 2027, and will take effect on May 7, 2025.
