This bill expands pharmacists' authority to furnish various types of contraceptives in California, including emergency contraception, over-the-counter contraceptives, and prescription-only contraceptives. The bill also removes previous restrictions on consultation fees and expands the range of contraceptives that can be furnished, making access to contraceptives more convenient for patients by allowing pharmacists to provide a broader range of these medications directly to patients.
