This bill modifies the powers and operations of regional transportation authorities in Texas, primarily focusing on a new General Mobility Program. Under this program, a unit of election within a single-subregion transportation authority can now use up to 25 percent of its sales and use tax revenues for local transportation-related projects, including constructing and maintaining sidewalks, trails, highways, streets, traffic signals, and drainage improvements.
