This bill requires the Texas Workforce Commission, in collaboration with the Texas Veterans Commission, to create and distribute a poster to employers with at least 50 employees that provides comprehensive information about veterans' benefits and services. The poster must include details on how employees can apply for unemployment compensation, contact the Texas Veterans Commission, access veterans' crisis hotline, exercise tax benefits for veterans, obtain driver's licenses, and learn about available services such as education and workforce programs, legal assistance, and substance abuse and mental health treatment. Employers will be required to display this poster in a conspicuous and accessible location within their workplace. The commission must complete the poster creation and distribution by December 1, 2025, and the bill will take effect on September 1, 2025. The goal of the bill is to ensure that veterans are informed about the various resources and support services available to them.
