This resolution pays tribute to Baylor University's Bob Bullock Scholars Program, a unique educational initiative established in 2000 to honor former Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock. The program provides an immersive learning experience for Baylor University students by allowing them to work full-time with Texas legislators during the legislative session, earning academic credit while gaining firsthand experience in state government and policymaking. In the 89th Texas Legislature, seven scholars are participating, working with various state representatives and senators, including Molly Brown, Annabel Curtis, Hayden Head, Madelyn Miller, Rhea Nijjar, and Sophia Whetstone, under the direction of Dr. Patrick Flavin. The resolution specifically commends these scholars for their participation in the state's legislative process and requests that a copy of the resolution be prepared for the program participants as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
