The platforms must offer information in multiple languages, compare on-campus and off-campus living costs, highlight colleges that meet 100% of students' financial needs, and provide direct links to key financial aid applications like the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act application. Additionally, the Commission must develop a training program for school counselors, administrators, and community organizations to explain these guidance tools and launch a multilingual media campaign to raise awareness in underserved communities. The bill aims to improve financial aid access and information for students who may face barriers to higher education.
