This resolution congratulates the Seward High School Academic Decathlon team for winning the state championship in the Medium School Division at the competition held on February 15, 2025, at Bellevue University. The Academic Decathlon is a comprehensive academic competition involving online and in-person tests across multiple subjects including economics, literature, math, language arts, and social science, with additional components like speeches, personal interviews, and essays. The Seward High School team, consisting of twelve students, competed against six other schools and earned twenty-two medals, with team member Jack Schulz being recognized as the top team scorer. The resolution acknowledges the achievement as a result of support from teachers, administrators, parents, and the community, and officially recognizes the team's academic accomplishment by sending congratulatory copies of the resolution to the team and their coach, Noelle Baker.
