This bill appropriates funding for the State Board of Elections from multiple sources for the 2026 fiscal year. Specifically, it allocates $32,196,800 from the General Revenue Fund for operational expenses, grants, and reimbursements; $1,000,000 from the Elections Special Projects Fund for similar purposes; $3,511,000 from the Personal Property Tax Replacement Fund for ordinary expenses and county reimbursements (including $2,763,500 for Election Day judges' compensation and $747,500 for lump sum county awards); and $11,661,100 from the Help Illinois Vote Fund for implementing the Help America Vote Act of 2002. This latter amount includes $1,036,100 for maintaining the statewide voter registration system and $10,625,000 for administrative costs and discretionary grants to local election authorities.
