This resolution honors James T. Cullins, a 95-year-old United States Army Veteran from Sylacauga, Alabama, recognizing his significant life achievements and service. Born on February 26, 1930, Cullins joined the Army in 1948 at age 18, serving as a machine gunner during the Berlin Airlift and in the Korean War, where he was stationed near Russia and ultimately discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1952. After his military service, he pursued a career in ministry, attending Freed-Hardman University and preaching at various churches, including the Alexander City Church of Christ and notably at the Bill Nichols State Veterans Home. Cullins also made community contributions, helping acquire senior living apartments in Alexander City and serving in the Alabama Legislature from 1990-1994, and he continues to be actively involved in serving others. The resolution celebrates his life, military service, and ongoing commitment to his community, offering him tribute and best wishes on his 95th birthday.
