This joint resolution provides for congressional disapproval of a proposed foreign military sale to Israel involving specific defense articles and services. The resolution focuses on blocking the sale of 10,000 M107 and/or M795 155mm High Explosive projectiles, which are artillery shells, along with associated non-major defense equipment (non-MDE) items. These additional items include various 155mm projectiles, technical publications, documentation, U.S. government and contractor support services, engineering and logistics support, studies, surveys, and related program support elements. The proposed sale was originally submitted to Congress under section 36(b)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act and was published in the Congressional Record on February 10, 2025. By passing this resolution, Congress would effectively prohibit the specific military sale to Israel that was detailed in Transmittal No. 24-16.
