This bill appropriates $4,500,000 from state bond proceeds to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for planning, designing, conducting environmental reviews, engineering, and acquiring right-of-way for reconstructing the interchange where Interstate Highway 35 and Scott County State-Aid Highway 2 meet in Scott County. The commissioner of management and budget is authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to $4,500,000 to fund this project, following the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes sections 167.50 to 167.52 and the state constitution. The bond proceeds, excluding accrued interest and any premium, will be deposited into the trunk highway fund's bond proceeds account. The bill becomes effective immediately after its final enactment, enabling the transportation department to move forward with the interchange reconstruction project.
