Additionally, colleges must inform students about off-campus housing options after their first year and provide resources and guidance for finding off-campus housing, including information about local rental options and tenant rights. The bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2025, and aims to provide more housing flexibility for college students beyond their first academic year.
