This resolution recognizes and commends Apostle Darryl L. Winston, a distinguished pastor, community activist, and youth advocate who has made significant contributions to religious and community service. Having accepted his ministry calling in 1986 and been ordained in 1991 at the Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., Winston founded Greater Works Ministries in 1995, which has grown into an innovative church organization. He has also established multiple outreach initiatives including the Mercy Seat Assembly, Global Prayer Network, Shalom Assembly, F.R.E.D. Initiative, and Save our City Coalition. His School of Ministry has trained over 2,000 leaders from diverse religious backgrounds, and he is recognized for his comprehensive spiritual leadership that includes sermon preparation, counseling, baptisms, and humanitarian work. The resolution highlights Winston's commitment to addressing physical, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others, and formally commends him for his extensive good works, extending wishes for continued successful leadership and fellowship. The resolution also directs the Senate Secretary to provide an official copy of the resolution to Apostle Winston.
