This resolution congratulates Danny Woodhead for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame, recognizing his remarkable athletic achievements. Born in North Platte, Nebraska, in 1985, Woodhead was a multi-sport athlete in high school and went on to become a standout football player at Chadron State College, where he set impressive records with 9,259 all-purpose yards and 109 touchdowns, winning the Harlon Hill trophy twice. After his college career, he played professionally in the National Football League for teams including the New York Jets, New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers, and Baltimore Ravens, scoring thirty-two touchdowns and even achieving a touchdown during Super Bowl XLVI. The resolution, passed by the Nebraska Legislature, officially congratulates Woodhead on his Hall of Fame induction and directs copies of the resolution to be sent to Woodhead and to Chadron State College's President Ron K. Patterson, celebrating his significant contributions to football at both the collegiate and professional levels.
