AI Summary

This bill revises several provisions related to cannabis establishment agents in Nevada. The bill authorizes the Cannabis Compliance Board to waive registration card requirements for individuals holding a 5 percent or more ownership interest in a cannabis establishment, subject to Board-established policies and procedures. It clarifies the procedures for obtaining and renewing cannabis establishment agent registration cards, including two new categories of cards: one for cannabis establishments (excluding independent testing laboratories) and another specifically for independent testing laboratories. The bill increases the registration card fee from $150 to $400 for owners, officers, board members, cannabis executives, and cannabis receivers. Additionally, the bill eliminates the previous requirement for registrants to submit an annual affidavit confirming no changes to their information and removes the Board's obligation to establish different categories of registration cards. The changes aim to streamline the registration process for cannabis establishment agents while providing the Board with more flexibility in managing registrations. The amendments will apply to registration cards issued or renewed on or after October 1, 2025.
