Additionally, the bill restricts how future compensation can be offset, allowing reductions only for non-accident benefit payments and limiting each individual payment reduction to no more than one-third until the total reduction equals the net amount recovered. These changes aim to provide more protection and clarity for injured workers when seeking compensation through third-party claims while still preserving the rights of industrial insurers to recover their expenses.
