This resolution congratulates the Weatherford Independent School District (ISD) on being named a Career and Technical Education (CTE) District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas. The district was one of only 38 school districts in Texas to receive this prestigious recognition, which honors CTE programs that demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to student success. Weatherford ISD offers 13 career clusters that allow students to engage in hands-on learning and internships across fields such as agricultural science, architecture, construction, health science, hospitality, tourism, and manufacturing. In 2023, the district launched the Grizzard Regional Institute of Technology (GRIT) in partnership with Weatherford College, providing students with opportunities to earn a high school diploma, industry credentials, or an associate's degree at no cost. The resolution formally congratulates the Weatherford ISD CTE Department for its outstanding achievements and extends best wishes for continued success, with an official copy of the resolution to be prepared for the school district as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
