This resolution honors the life of Terrance Lamont Cooper, a United States Army National Guard veteran and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention employee who passed away on February 16, 2025. Born in Queens, New York in 1971 and relocating to Georgia in 1985, Cooper was educated in the Bibb County School System, graduating from Northeast High School in 1989 and attending Valdosta State College. During his military service, he served as a Material Storage and Handling Specialist and was a Desert Storm Veteran (1990-1991), demonstrating courage and commitment to national defense. Professionally, he began working at the CDC in 1999 as an IT Helpdesk Support Contractor and became a full-time Helpdesk Lead in July 2024. The resolution, passed by the House of Representatives, expresses deep condolences to his family and friends, recognizes his contributions to his community and nation, and directs the House Clerk to provide an official copy of the resolution to his family as a memorial tribute to his life and service.
