This resolution honors Terry Holder, a distinguished high school baseball and football coach in Georgia, who is being inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. Throughout his 30-year baseball and four-year football coaching career, Holder achieved remarkable success, including an impressive 588-183 coaching record in baseball, ranking 13th in state history for total wins. He led his teams to eight state championships within 12 years, with his Evans High School teams notably achieving a historic 61-game winning streak and a perfect 29-0 season in 1989 that earned a No. 3 national ranking. Holder was previously inducted into several other halls of fame, including the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) and the Georgia Dugout Club, and demonstrated exceptional leadership by experiencing only one losing season in his entire coaching career.
