This resolution recognizes and commends Sergeant Major (Ret.) Karen Beamon for her outstanding 26-year military service in the United States Army Reserve (USAR). Throughout her distinguished career, Beamon held significant roles including Chief of the AGR Boards Branch, Instructor at the USAR Retention School, and Command Retention Non-commissioned Officer for the 102nd USAR Command. After her retirement, she continued serving as an Instructional Systems Specialist for 13 years, developing training materials for military education programs. Her exceptional service was acknowledged through numerous military awards such as the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal. Beyond her military achievements, Beamon is also actively involved in community organizations, holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's in education, and completed specialized training at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. The resolution formally recognizes her contributions to the nation and extends best wishes for her future, with the Senate Secretary directed to provide her with an official copy of the resolution as a formal acknowledgment of her service and accomplishments.
