The comptroller is mandated to maintain a non-aggregated public compilation of this information on a designated website, which will be updated at least annually. Additionally, the comptroller must produce an annual public report breaking down media services by agency, region, and media platform type. The bill aims to increase transparency in state government media spending by creating a comprehensive, publicly accessible record of how state entities use media and marketing services, with the comptroller authorized to establish necessary rules and regulations for implementing these requirements. The bill will take effect on the first January following its enactment.
