This resolution congratulates Terry McKeown on his retirement from the Bloomingdale School District 13 Board of Education after serving since April 1, 2001. During his tenure, McKeown made significant contributions to the district, including leading strategic planning efforts that resulted in numerous student achievements, and implementing financial practices that earned the district Certificates of Achievement (COAs) for Excellence in Financial Reporting from professional organizations like the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for seven consecutive years. He also served as board president for two terms and supported the Bloomingdale CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition, a nonprofit organization promoting community values. The resolution, passed by the Illinois Senate, officially congratulates McKeown, thanks him for his service to the community and students, and resolves to present him with a copy of the resolution as a token of esteem and respect, with his service concluding on May 1, 2025.
