This bill updates the compensation for the Worth County Board of Education by establishing new per diem rates for the board chairperson and members. Specifically, the chairperson will now receive $300 per day and regular board members will receive $200 per day for attending board meetings, committee meetings, or traveling on official board business (both inside and outside the state), which must be first authorized by a majority board vote. The board members will also continue to be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred during these activities, and they must submit their expense accounts to the county school superintendent for approval. The bill will become effective on the first day of the month following its approval by the Governor or when it becomes law, and it repeals any previous laws that conflict with these new compensation provisions.
