This resolution honors the life and memory of Esther Perkins-Frazier, a distinguished citizen from Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on January 14, 2025. Born in 1956, Perkins-Frazier was an accomplished professional with a background in interior decorating, early childhood education, and radio broadcasting, having worked at WSOK Radio/WLVH Radio for 12 years in various roles including news and promotions director. She was deeply involved in Gospel music, serving 25 years with the Grammy-nominated Savannah Community Choir and participating in 12 nationally distributed albums. As an educator, she worked in Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools as a kindergarten teacher, paraprofessional, mentor, and tutor. Perkins-Frazier was also known for her community service, founding the Share the Harvest Community Food Pantry & Clothes Closet and volunteering with charitable organizations supporting women, children, and families. The resolution, passed by the Georgia House of Representatives, officially honors her life, expresses condolences for her passing, and directs the House Clerk to provide a copy of the resolution to her family, which includes her two children, Bynikini and Jacquarze, and her granddaughter Eliyanah.
