The Comptroller General must submit a written report of findings within 30 days of completing the review. Additionally, the bill mandates that the Comptroller General conduct similar reviews annually for the next five years, with each review examining the VA's funding for the most recent completed fiscal year. Furthermore, once the Secretary of Veterans Affairs receives each GAO report, they must promptly transmit it to the House and Senate Committees on Veterans' Affairs and Appropriations, ensuring transparency and congressional oversight of the department's financial management.
