This bill modifies liquor licensing requirements for the University of Minnesota, specifically expanding the Board of Regents' ability to obtain and manage liquor licenses. The bill allows the Board of Regents to obtain liquor licenses for multiple locations within the university's boundaries, including Northrop Auditorium, the intercollegiate football stadium (now called Huntington Bank Stadium, formerly TCF Bank Stadium), and other locations as described in their approved license applications. Notably, the bill removes previous restrictions on the number of locations and allows for non-contiguous spaces to be included in the license. The bill also requires that liquor sales at the stadium must be available to the general public through halftime of football games and must comply with existing alcohol sales regulations. Additionally, the bill removes a previous prohibition on liquor licenses for the College of Agriculture campus and makes some minor technical changes to the numbering of licensing restrictions. Both sections of the bill will become effective the day after final enactment.
