This bill provides a state appropriation of $419,000 to the Public Facilities Authority for the city of Cokato to extend its water main system to connect the Dassel-Cokato Middle and High School campus to the municipal water supply. The purpose of this water main extension is to provide the school campus with safe, drinkable water and improve its fire suppression capabilities. To fund this project, the commissioner of management and budget is authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to the appropriated amount, following standard state bonding procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes and the state constitution. The bill will take effect immediately after it is enacted, allowing the city to proceed with designing, constructing, and equipping the water main extension to serve the school campus.
