This bill amends Michigan's insurance code to modify continuing education requirements for insurance producers (insurance agents). Additionally, the bill maintains the existing requirement of 24 total continuing education hours every two years and allows producers to carry over up to 12 excess hours of education credits to the next licensing period, with some restrictions. The bill also clarifies that after December 31, 2025, the director may credit other activities toward the continuing education requirement, providing flexibility in how insurance producers can meet their professional development obligations.
