This resolution honors Craig and Diana Barrow, University of Georgia (UGA) alumni from the Class of 1965, who were selected as the inaugural recipients of the Vince and Barbara Dooley Friends of the UGA Libraries Award. The Barrows are recognized for their significant contributions to the UGA Libraries, including donating 15 acres of land in 2012 to establish the Center for Research and Education at Wormsloe (CREW), supporting the UGA Libraries' Board of Visitors, and continuing a family legacy of preservation and education. The Barrows own Wormsloe, a historically significant coastal Georgia site originally settled by Craig Barrow's ancestor Noble Jones in the 1730s, and have worked to enhance its role as an educational and research resource. The resolution commends the Barrows for their enduring generosity, leadership, and passion for education, which have transformed their family's historical connection to UGA into a lasting legacy benefiting future generations of scholars, researchers, and students. The House of Representatives extends congratulations and best wishes to the Barrows and directs the Clerk to provide them with a copy of the resolution.
