This resolution recognizes Latina Leads, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Latina girls aged 8 to 16 through leadership, self-esteem, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and well-being programs. Founded by Eli Dib Caiazzo and Maria Alejandra Bastidas, the organization focuses on celebrating the unique heritage of participants while creating an inclusive environment that helps young girls develop confidence and leadership skills. By inviting successful women from diverse cultural backgrounds to serve as mentors, Latina Leads provides role models for its participants. Over the past three years, the organization has positively impacted more than 400 girls through workshops, summer camps, and conferences, with over 250 girls and their families served in the last year alone. The resolution commends Latina Leads for its commitment to inspiring future generations of Latina girls and wishes the organization continued growth and success, with an additional directive for the Senate Secretary to distribute an official copy of the resolution to the organization.
