This bill amends the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law to prohibit regional off-track betting (OTB) corporations from providing take-home vehicles to board members, officers, employees, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, agents, and certain family members residing in their principal place of abode. The bill requires that all motor vehicles owned, leased, or controlled by such corporations must be returned to corporate property when not being used for official business. However, the bill does provide an exception: OTB corporations can issue take-home vehicles to employees and officers if they establish a written policy that complies with the state comptroller's rules and regulations, obtain approval from the gaming commission, and submit to random audits by the gaming commission.
