The commissions are specifically asked to draft recommended legislation for gender-neutral language, create a recommendation for future bill reviews to ensure inclusive terminology, and submit a report with proposed statutory amendments by December 31, 2026. The resolution also requests the Department of the Attorney General to assist in this effort and recommends engaging with civil rights experts specializing in gender identity and non-binary issues, such as the Lambda Law Student Association. Upon completion, certified copies of the resolution will be transmitted to key stakeholders including the Governor, commission chairs, and the Lambda Law Student Association.
