This bill establishes the Task Force for SPEED (Simplifying Permitting for Enhanced Economic Development), a temporary legislative initiative aimed at addressing delays in Hawaii's permitting processes for housing, industrial, and commercial projects. The primary goal is to understand and streamline current permitting challenges that may be hindering economic development in Hawaii.
