AI Summary
This bill repeals Section 8041 of The Fiscal Code, which previously regulated how municipalities could create ordinances related to rodeos and rodeo-related events. Under the now-repealed section, local governments were required to allow rodeo hosting entities (defined as nationally recognized professional entities that produce rodeo events in at least 10 states and host events in venues with 2,500+ seats) to conduct up to 12 rodeo events per calendar year without being subject to local regulations. By eliminating this section entirely, the bill removes the statewide mandate that restricted how municipalities could regulate rodeos, effectively returning full regulatory discretion to local governments. The repeal means that cities, counties, boroughs, townships, and other local jurisdictions will now have complete authority to create their own rules and restrictions regarding rodeo events without the previous state-imposed limitations on the number of days or types of regulations they can implement.
