This bill amends Section 8C of Chapter 111 of the Massachusetts General Laws to provide municipalities more flexibility in managing water fluoridation programs. Specifically, the bill allows towns, cities, or districts with existing artificial fluoridation programs to end those programs through a local ordinance passed by their legislative body (such as a City Council, Town Meeting, or Water Commissioners). The process can be initiated by a petition from at least ten registered voters.
