AI Summary
This bill amends existing Michigan law concerning radiation machines and mammography. Specifically, it eliminates the requirement for notification of dense breast tissue, which is a characteristic of breast tissue that can make mammograms harder to interpret. The bill also makes general amendments to how radiation machines are regulated, including updating fee structures for inspections and registrations, and clarifies that the Department of Health must incorporate federal mammography quality standards into its rules. Additionally, it repeals two sections of the public health code related to radiation machine registration and mammography quality assurance.
