This bill authorizes the commissioner of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (CAMM) to convey two specific parcels of land in Tewksbury that were previously owned by the Department of Public Health. The first parcel, approximately 11.019 acres (identified as parcel 62-19-3), will be conveyed to the town of Tewksbury for use as a cemetery. The second parcel, approximately 0.517 acres (identified as parcel 62-19-2), will be conveyed to the town for recreational use. Before finalizing the transactions, the CAMM commissioner can make minor modifications to the area and plan. The land will be sold at fair market value, as determined by an independent professional appraisal. The inspector general must review and approve the appraisal, prepare a report, and submit it to the CAMM commissioner, who will then provide copies of the appraisals and the inspector general's review to the house and senate committees on ways and means and the joint committee on state administration and regulatory oversight at least 15 days before executing the land transfer documents.
