This bill establishes a new Gateway City Public School Driver Education Program designed to provide affordable driver education to students from low-income communities in Massachusetts. The bill creates a dedicated trust fund that will receive 1% of certain motor vehicle-related fees, which will be used to reduce or eliminate driver education tuition costs for students in gateway municipalities (cities designated as economically challenged urban centers).
