This bill authorizes the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to establish a Direct Care Worker Medication Administration Program registry, which would collect and maintain comprehensive information about direct care workers employed by agencies whose service rates are set by a specific law (Chapter 257 of 2008). The registry would require direct care worker agencies to report detailed information about each worker, including full name, unique identification number, gender, home and mailing addresses, job title, completed trainings/certifications, and the status of their Medication Administration Program certification. Agencies must submit and update this information quarterly, and workers will not be responsible for any associated costs. The registry will be partially public, with only select information made available to the public, such as the worker's name, ID number, employing agency, and completed trainings. The bill includes provisions for exemptions from reporting, particularly for victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, or stalking.
