This bill establishes a new Correctional Employee Protective Labor Practices Board composed of 13 members, including representatives from labor unions, state agencies, the correctional association, and legislators, to conduct a comprehensive review of labor practices and working conditions in state correctional facilities. The board is required to conduct at least three public hearings, with Spanish language interpretation, and has the power to subpoena witnesses, tour facilities, and interview correctional employees and incarcerated individuals.
