The Foundation is the largest philanthropic organization primarily supporting West Virginia and Pittsburgh, focusing on three key program areas: Community & Economic Development, Education, and Health, with an additional strategic initiative in Entrepreneurship since 2001. The resolution highlights the Foundation's significant contributions, including investing millions of dollars in rural economic development, establishing the West Virginia Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, and playing a critical leadership role in the state's economic growth. The West Virginia State Senate formally acknowledges the Foundation's tremendous impact and expresses hope that it will continue its mission of supporting worthy causes. The resolution also directs the Clerk to forward a copy of the resolution to a representative of the Foundation.
