This bill amends the Texas Occupations Code by expanding the definition of a "certifying entity" for behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts. Specifically, the bill adds the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board to the list of recognized certifying bodies, alongside the existing Behavior Analyst Certification Board. These certifying entities must be accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute and be approved by the relevant state department. The bill will take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote from both legislative houses, or otherwise on September 1, 2025.
