This bill amends the Macon Water Authority Act to change the electoral districts and governance structure for the Macon Water Authority. The bill introduces a staggered election schedule, with initial elections for Districts 5, 6, and 7 in November 2025, followed by elections for Districts 1, 4, 5, and 8 in 2026, and Districts 2, 3, 6, and 7 in 2028. These will be nonpartisan elections with four-year terms. Current board members will continue to serve until the expiration of their terms, and the authority is required to hold at least two meetings per month.
